Role Overview

We are seeking a data-driven, detail-oriented Data Analyst – Forecasting & Automation to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in data analytics and a passion for turning numbers into insights that drive supply chain efficiency and smarter inventory planning.

Note: We will begin with 2–3 candidates for a one-month paid trial period, during which each will receive $400 USD. Throughout this trial, candidates will work on real projects. At the end of the month, one successful candidate will be selected to join full-time, at which point they will begin receiving the full salary.

As a core member of the team, you will be responsible for analyzing inventory data, forecasting demand, building automated reports, and identifying insights to enhance operational performance. This is a remote, full-time role with strong potential for growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis & Visualization – Analyze large datasets (sales, inventory, supplier performance, etc.) to generate insights that support forecasting, inventory planning, and operational decisions.
  • Demand Forecasting – Develop and maintain predictive models to estimate product demand across various markets and brands using historical trends, seasonality, and promotional plans.
  • Research Demand Trends – Investigate demand patterns for upcoming product launches and collaborate with relevant teams to recommend inventory forecasts accordingly.
  • Automation & Dashboard Creation – Build and maintain automated reporting tools and dashboards (Excel, Google Sheets, or BI platforms) to streamline performance tracking and reduce manual tasks.
  • Performance Monitoring – Monitor KPIs such as sales trends, inventory turnover, forecast accuracy, and supplier lead times.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Insights – Identify stock risks, supply bottlenecks, or overstock scenarios using real-time data, and communicate proactive solutions.
  • Process Documentation – Maintain up-to-date documentation for data processes, forecasting methodologies, and automation tools.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with procurement, operations, and logistics teams to ensure that forecasts align with supplier timelines and inventory goals.
  • Competitor & Market Benchmarking – Support product research through data gathering and competitor analysis to guide pricing, content, and inventory decisions.

  • Forecast Accuracy – Precision of demand forecasts compared to actual sales.
  • Inventory Turnover Rate – Efficiency in selling and replenishing inventory.
  • Automation Implementation Success – Effectiveness and adoption of automation tools or workflows.
  • Reduction in Manual Reporting Time – Time saved by automating repetitive reporting tasks.
  • Cost Savings from Data Insights – Measurable savings resulting from data-driven recommendations.

Success Benchmarks (30-60-90 Days)
First 30 Days
  • Complete onboarding and familiarize with internal tools, products, and data sources
  • Analyze existing datasets and reporting structures
First 60 Days
  • Present initial findings on data trends and forecasting opportunities
  • Deliver first automated report or dashboard
First 90 Days
  • Implement refined forecasting models with measurable improvements
  • Take ownership of analytics and reporting for supply chain and inventory

Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have:
  • Strong data analysis skills (Excel, Google Sheets; experience with pivot tables, formulas, macros)
  • Proven experience in demand forecasting, trend analysis, or inventory analytics
  • Ability to build automated reports and visualize data for non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience interpreting operational and supply chain data
Nice-to-Have:
  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio)
  • Scripting experience (e.g., Python, VBA) for data cleaning or automation
  • Experience in the consumer goods or eCommerce industry
Experience & Education:
  • 3+ years in a data analyst or supply chain analyst role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Business, Mathematics, or related field

Compensation & Trial Details
  • Trial Period: 2–3 candidates for 1 month of real-world evaluation

  • Full-Time Offer: If selected, candidate will transition to full-time and receive full salary
  • Full Salary Range: $1,000–$1,500 USD/month (based on experience)
